We often show children from the surrounding areas, togehter with their teachers, around the camp. It is important for children living near the Selous Game Reserve to see the wildlife itself
and also the structures that accommodate the tourist. It's good for them to see more sustainable ways of uilizing the resources (in one photo above they are looking at a solar water hater).
If Tanzania's parks and its wildlife are to be preserved for the future, it is essential that its citizens see them for themselves.
If they enjoy the experience of seeing wildlife in its natural state, they might decide it has some value - apart from being killed as food or to prevent crop-raiding.
